LFAC is a multidisciplinary arts program coined “The Freedom Art’s” program for ages K- 12 and Young Adults 18 - 23. It is a reclamation and decolonization of the art space through the learned history, instruction, implementation, and personal development of arts education pairing multiple mediums of art.
If your site is interested we email over a “Build Your Freedom Arts Workshop Worksheet”, a list of sub-categories and what they are, along with a quote.
On the sheet you go through three steps. First step, pick your traditional art practice. Second step, pick one to two sub categories to pair with your traditional art practice, and third step, note if you will be adding a mental health and wellness session and what type with your program.
Current traditional art practices we provide are:
Theater & Film
Creative Writing
Dance
Fine Art
Music
As a site you would request one of the listed art practices and then choose from our list of sub-categories of art to pair with your main traditional practice. We have upwards of 25 sub-categories to choose from.
PERFORMING ARTS
Since we are a multidisciplinary site, all our arts programming is paired with two or more art disciplines. Adding performing arts to your LFP Arts programming encourages empathy and compassion and the exploration of emotion. It expands the imagination and helps develop your own, unique voice. Bring LFP’s performing arts programming to your school or site.

The La Familia Arts Program has launched in 2023 and we are now providing a 3, 6, 9 month, and Summer Multidiscipline Arts workshop for Youth and Young Adults. Our Freedom Arts Program “Time to Dream” is based on a Social and Emotional Learning curriculum. With exposure to at least two artistic practices per workshop period, we help young folks discover personal tools to navigate and develop self-care, self-awareness, and healthy affirmation of their own creative voice and identity. By combining an intentional creative space while supporting their development of a mindful artistic practice those that take our "Time to Dream" program will start to reflect on a more expanded and full version of themselves through helpful techniques and frameworks that they can use outside of the workshop. LFA will also provide a “Dream to Reality Arts” showcase at the end of the program where we will see the seeds soon start to grow and take root for all the participants along with resources for those who would like to continue to deepen their artistic practice.
