Make an
impact today

This week is Giving Tuesday and the Holidays are in full swing! Being part of this global movement reminded LFP of the power of community. Never underestimate how small acts of kindness can create big change! This holiday season you have the opportunity to be apart of that change by donating to our mission to provide free quality programming in Sports, Arts, and Wellness throughout NYC to communities that need it most.

Where does your money go?

  • Free Programming for sites that are unable to keep consistent programming due to budget cuts.

  • LFP’s 2025 Competitive Soccer Academy to support participants and their families.

  • Space for programming.

  • Sports Clothing & Equipment (for youth and young adult participants that cannot afford basic sportswear or equipment.

  • Emergency Family Fund for basic needs like food, clothing, sanitary items, and school supplies for all participants and their families.

  • The launch of LFP’s first community space.

Why give?

  • Community Youth and YA sports programs provide an excellent opportunity for young folks to get outside, be active, and learn important skills like teamwork, leadership, focus, and discipline.

  • Everyone, especially young folks, deserve the opportunity to participate in sports and arts programming regardless of their income level and everyone deserves to be able to do this with consistent access to wellness and mental health resources because life gets challenging sometimes. Unfortunately, the cost of sustainable programming and wellness resources can be prohibitively expensive for many families. By donating to youth programs, businesses can help ensure that every child has the chance to participate and reap the benefits that go along with it. This helps promote a sense of inclusivity and community within your neighborhood and beyond.

  • By donating to LFP programming, businesses can play a crucial role in promoting physical activity and healthy habits in their own communities.

  • Community Enrichement programs in Sports, Arts, and Wellness are often run by local nonprofits or community organizations. These groups rely on the support of businesses and individuals to keep their programs running. When businesses donate to these programs, they’re not only supporting the folks who participate, but also the local economy. By investing, businesses can help create jobs, stimulate economic activity, and strengthen their communities.

  • For Business, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is becoming increasingly important to consumers. More and more, people are choosing to do business with companies that prioritize social and environmental responsibility. By donating to community programming, businesses can showcase their commitment to CSR and demonstrate that they care about more than just profits. This can help improve brand reputation and loyalty, and even attract new customers who share your values.

For individuals, donating can help you learn more about the issues facing your community and what you can do to help and contributing changes can be made more quickly to better serve community needs.

  • Donating to community programs provides the necessary financial resources to run and expand initiatives that directly benefit the local population, allowing organizations to offer services like education, healthcare, food assistance, and recreational activities, ultimately improving the overall quality of life within the community.

“When you get to know the young people in your community, you get to know the needs of the community, and can pinpoint the resources needed to create positive change for the future of your own community.”
