LFBC in VOGUE

Co-Founder Javana Mundy is in a Vogue and had the chance to talk about @lafamiliaboxingclub and what legacy means.

Javana was asked to be apart of this brave editorial for Photo #Vogue that was beautifully captured and shot by the gifted @ohyeahitseli . This is a bit of BTS and below is a bit about the project via Photo Vogue. You can see and read the full article on all these valiant women at Photo Vogue in the Editorial Section. Way to end Women’s History Month and start off Black Women’s History Month.

Fearless is the most recent project by the photographer and director Elianel Clinton. It dives into the different stories of women of color who narrate their personal experiences, in relation with society and the possible change they can activate.

The intimate aspect of this project - the women’s personal experiences and Clinton’s tribute to his mother and grandmothers - is intertwined with political and societal meanings: through intimate, singular portraits the artist wanted to enlighten the under-representation all women of color have to face in everyday life and their commitment to create developments on this matter through their personalities and actions.

This was such an uplifting shoot centered around women of color and we were so honored to have Javana rep for us and be among such powerful, inspiring, women.

Thank you to @ohyeahitseli for having us be apart of this story and uplifting women through the work you do.
